Problems with my K70 RGB

I just got the kb a few days ago and i have stumbled onto several problems that are pretty minor things when you think about it but then again why the heck would a kb even be causing these kinds of problems.

The keyboard and CUE is on the most up to date FW(1.20) and versions(1.7.106)

Problem #1 - Boot Delay
Since plugging the kb in, ive noticed a delay on boot times. From the moment i press the power button on my case to getting to the desktop.

Sometimes its straightforward, press button, then desktop, but there is still a delay, it boots at about 30-40sec with this K70RGB. Compared to my £6 argos kb, which i was previously using which is what i am comparing the times to, which boots my computer at around 20sec, no more than 30.

Sometimes its gets a little slower/complicated. From pressing the button, i would then see my BIOS splash whereas i never see this anymore when its straightforward(above) or when using the argos kb. Then it goes to the black screen where there's a seeking cursor at the top left(blinking "_") when its trying to find an OS. After that, it goes to the Windows8/.1 logo and the spinning loading/wheel and it does a couple of turns. Again, it never took that long, usually it just did 1 spin then it loaded to desktop when i was using the argos kb. With this scenario, im looking at about 1min to 90sec boot time.

Now the most complicated/frustrating. Everything above, so the "a little slower/complicated" but this time after the windows logo spinning loading wheel thing, it just goes to a black screen. It then stays there for a good 2-3minutes then it restarts itself.

Why and how does a keyboard effect something so simple like booting to windows. It's only a keyboard fgs.

Problem #2 - BIOS Complications
I have a DRCT button on my mobo, which if you didnt know, takes my directly to the BIOS without me having to mash my DELETE button.

Now initially, first time pressing the button from turning on the mains power plug switch; It hangs on the BIOS splash screen for a good 20-30sec then goes into BIOS BUT THEN i cant navigate through the BIOS using the keyboard. As it looks like there's no power going through it, no lights are lit up at all on the kb. But the mouse works. "Okay" you say, "just use the mouse then". No. The keyboard was the traditional way of navigating through the BIOS why the hell would i force myself to change because your kb is defective.

So i turn of the computer. Second time around, i press the DRCT button, no splash screen, straight to the BIOS and i can navigate from the get go.
Okay so it's "fixed", no. Why do i have to try and get into the BIOS twice just to be able to navigate it, i should be able to do this on the first try. So this is a problem.

Problem #3 & 3.1 - Demo lighting(rainbow) when computer is off
After switching the mains plug on, give it 30sec-1min and the keyboard will light up, first red and white then it goes to dancing mode. Why? I thought this was fixed on FW 1.15(know this after some research)

So a work around that i found(after some research)(seriously, a kb doesnt need this much researching unless its before buying it or after for the lighting effects) was to turn on or enable ErP or S5 in BIOS. So i quickly tried this out and yes this does work.

However, which leads me to problem 3.1. With this S5 or ErP enabled, when turning the computer on, there's a delay. So from pressing the power button on my case, there's a 2sec delay before the system gets powered on and through POST and everything else.

Okay, that might have been a ridiculously small thing but I notice it. Which leads back to the original problem. Why do i have to turn this S5 or ErP thing on, why cant this KB just not have power when the computer is off. My K95 never had this problem nor did i ever need to change something in the BIOS for the keyboard.

Problem #4 - USB not recognised
When finally booted into windows, i get the pop up message "USB not recognised".
Again, why does it do this??
Yes, i could put the one keyboard usb plug into a USB3 and the problem would be solved BUT you gave us two to plug in, i dont want this one usb cable dangling around.

Problem #5 - CUE going to default when opened
When finally booted into windows, and i open CUE, why does it go to the default profile(the one where the rainbow/dancing lights are set)???

When i have a different profile that i have set to be the default one and also put into the KB memory.
Yes its a small thing but COME ONN!

And before you ask, yes i have repeated every scenario and i have messed around with unplugging and plugging the usb cables back in again.

So are these known problems?
Any solutions?
Is it specifically my keyboard? Shall i just get it replaced?

I had a K95(non rgb) before this, and it never had these problems. I would still have that now if it wasnt for the dying LEDs. :(
This is not a rant. I love your products. The build quality of your keyboard are just plain astonishing. It's just these problems. :(

TL;DR
K70 RGB has a lot of problems.
#1 Boot delays
#2 Have to go into BIOS twice before being able to do anything
#3 Demo lighting when computer is off
3.1 Delay when turning computer on when ErP is enabled
#4 USB not recognised
#5 CUE going to default when its not the default profile

I don’t like my K70 RGB, it double keys a lot. I liked my cheap Dell better but I wanted a backlit keys, don’t think I will get a mechanical keyboard again, no way will I buy a corsair keyboard again.

sorry to hear your having a hard time with your keyboard i own the normal led model glad i didnt spend the extra on the keyboard read a lot of bad stuff about the keyboard a lot with the software and it clashing with other apps and the leds going
