Problems with my laptop

Hi guys,
Didnt know who else to ask so i thought i would see what the collected brainpower here could come up with.

Basically my laptop keeps cutting out on me at random times. It will just be sitting on doing nothing and then suddenly turn off. This is always within the 1st 10 mins of being on. If it goes past this 10 min mark, its stays on fine.

It keeps running the disc check program everytime i turn it back on and then work fine for upto 10 mins and then cut out again.
There has been no changes made to it and all my spyware, antivirus and firewalls are all upto date and have come up with nothing malicious.

Any ideas as to what could be causing these problems would be much appreciated.

One of the main problems with a PC ,so it'll probably the same with a laptop ........overheating . If the cooler fan's not working properly the CPU will close down .Can you find out if the processor fan is working or there might be a lot of dust inside the casing .

Try cleaning the battery connections with a pencil erazor
