Problems with my line?

Recently I've been having a lot of random internet drop outs which only lasted a few minutes but today there's also been a large amount of noise on my line too, although that's now disappeared. :p

I'm currently on a 1mb fixed package from Tiscali (now TalkTalk) and the max line speed is supposedly 4mb.

My router is now plugged directly into the BT master socket and here's the stats:

I'm no expert but I'd say the line attenuation is too high but the noise margin is fine. So what do you think ?

Thanks :)

I had this with Pipex recently. I noticed my link type changed to 'fast path' rather than interleaved. Rang them up and they sorted it.

OcUK Value ADSL Microfilter 2 £3.38

:p Thought the microfilters were the problem the other day, so replaced both.

Now however, I cannot hang up on any incoming calls

Ringing BT now :D:o

Edit : BT: Tells you everything that you already knew. Went through all the troubleshooting, which I'd already done and supposedly there's no problem with the line. An engineer could come to check the internal wiring, but they're wanting to charge £127 minimum if there's something wrong with the internal wiring which is silly so I'm not sure where to go from here.

Make sure there's nothing wrong with your side, then they can't charge you?
It's possible that "value" filters are crap too.

Not sure what else I can check though :(

I think the filters are fine, without them there's still the problem of not being able to hang up on incoming calls.
