Problems with my Logitech G7 - Need advice!

My logitech G7 which I have had since early July has within the last week started doing this weird thing when I left click: It's like it is double clicking on single clicks, for example if I have a web browser open and I click on a link which opens a new window it will open two windows as if I had clicked on it twice. Another example is when I click on the close button of a maximised window and it will close that window and the one behind it that was also maximised. It doesn't do it every time, just randomly it would seem.

I swear this is the most annoying thing ever and I don't know why it has suddenly started doing this. I haven't changed anything on my computer, I just noticed it one day as if the problem just appeared out of nowhere. I have tried adjusting the double click speed within windows but that makes no difference.

Has anyone else ever experienced a problem like this or know of a way to fix it? What does everyone think I should do? RMA it to overclockers? RMA it to logitech? It is driving me crazy please help.

are you sure its the mouse thats acting up and not you setpoint? try uninstalling it and see if the mouse still acts that way.

I can try it but it was working fine up until a few weeks ago. Why would setpoint suddenly go wrong like that?

I uninstalled setpoint last night and it hasn't made any difference. I want to send this mouse back. Anyone know how I would go about that? Will overclockers take it or will I have to send it back to logitech?

Ive got a Logitech G7 and ive had the same problem from time to time, just make sure your alt, ctrl and shift keys are not sticking.

friend told me what to check for....the problem i had was my old kb was full of crap and the keys were sticking at times.

works ok now.
