Had my GTX a couple of days now, lovely!

In some games though, things will look blured of blocky far away in games. then i walk towards them and suddenly it will change to all nice and clear high res.

Sort of like everythings a bit blurry until i get close enough then suddenly it's all clear.

Seems to happen a lot on BF2, Armed Assault and graw 2. running all these games in max settings, obviously :x

Using the latest beta drivers, 163.11. Vista 64bit legal!

E6300 at 3ghz, stock volts
2gb geil 800mhz ram
8800 GTX
500watt enermax liberty psu

ummmm, could be a ram issue.... possibly, but try the basic drivers, non beta and see what happens then

Why do people always point this out it makes no difference.

Anyway, try other drivers, ATi tool artifact test, other games, 3Dmark06...etc

Cause a lot of people use pirate copies, its nice that some ppl use legit copies.

I really couldn't care less and yeah I know that's why he said it but I still don't see the point in it.

It makes no difference whatsoever.

I have this exact problem on my Windows XP pc and macbook pro (when running windows XP). Its fine for all games except company of heroes (since 1.7 patch, DX10) and World in conflict... any ideas? :s

Sounds like you're just seeing LOD in work at games, where the models get lower polygon the further away from them you are. I noticed it a lot more in bf2 with my 8800gts when i had it. Would i be right in assuming that shadows of tanks also disappear in bf2?

Ok so I've finally solved this by turning Pixel Shading down to low... don't know if this will work for you?

Turning up high makes VERY jaggy shadows, the entire game goes slightly blurry and basically everything looks horribly bad. Turn it down and everything is crystal clear, aliased shadows etc... very strange.
