I've just come back up this evening after watching a DVD with the mrs and my PC seems dead. It was working fine when I went down, I left it on, no doing anything though, and I've come back up and its on, but the monitor just says no signal. I've turned it off and on again a few times and still nothing, cleared bios still nothing. I've now taken out the graphics card and the RAM and turned it on to see if I get any error beeps and I dont get any. Leads me to believe its the mobo, thing is, I'm not sure I've ever heard it beep so my PC speaker could be bust or improperly connected. Anyone any ideas? Its the spec in my sig

Not got another ATX 2.0 to test with, I've been selling off all my old parts recently, will it matter if I test with an old one (only 20 pin connector instead of 24 I think). I've been doing some testing and now I think it might be the graphics card. Used my old mobo and CPU which I still have to test it. Unfortunately I dont have any decent DDR ram left, only a few sticks of naf generic stuff for my server so I'm not 100%, but judging by the beep codes it certainly says it fails on graphics, but that could be caused by dodgy RAM, dodgy PSU or dodgy graphics. Anyone any ideas how I can narrow this down?

edit: actually that spare PSU doesnt even have a PCI-E power connector so its a definate no

It came off the bay 3 years ago, I dont remember it coming with any connectors, or if it did I doubt I still have them. I'll have a search though thanks. Will it not matter that the ATX power connector is too small?

yeah, I'll give it a go. I dont need it stable, at the moment it does nothing at all just blank screen, so if it'll post thats all I need, then I'll know its my PSU. I'm pretty confident its the graphics, the beep codes on my old mobo that I tested with were for graphics fail, I just wish I had another PCI-E card to test with.
