problems with new gtx 670

hi,
just installed a msi gtx 670 PE OC and im having a couple problems with it.

1. im using my 1920x1080p TV but when i select that resolution the screen stretches and does not fin the screen , also im unable the select 50Hz refresh rate only 29 and 30 show?

2. im getting flickering on icons and text?

anyone got any ideas what's happening ?
 
I believe you have to set your TV to PC connection. or something similar. I have read a few posts with this problem and it was a simple case of a setting on the TV.

Nope, The picture quality over HDMI will be superior. What is the TV and Model number? Maybe somebody will know more about it if they have that info.
 
look on your remote and look for the "AV" button then keep pressing it till you land on the "PC" channel so to speak. Thats how i do it on mine. Works everytime.
 
whenever I got the flickering issues it was the 2D clocks too low...

may not fix the issue but its good to completly uninstall the drivers and try the latest or previous set directly from nvidia, and reset the clock speeds for 2d and 3d and retry...

perhaps long shot but sometimes worth a shot
