Guys,

When I overclock my Xfire'd 4870's only one seems to hold its overclock while the other keeps reverting back to its default settings (is this normal)

Another problem is when I play lotro on one of my monitors and revert the game to windowed mode the second monitor goes blank - its driving me mad (never did it prior to having x-fire)

Using ATi 8.7's

Well thats ATI drivers for ya ;)

Have you installed the 48xx series hotpatch? i have some problems with my 4870, all seems to be down to poor drivers.

Of course nVidia fully supports SLI'd multi-monitors, or not?

Crossfire does support multi-monitors but not when gaming, that's why you are losing your second screen.

If thats true, thats unbelievable.

I am very disapointed in ATi

It's the same for Nvidia aswell though. Although with them it's even worse, when SLI is enabled, even when not gaming, only one monitor will work.

There 180 drivers out in about a months time are meant to support multi monitors when SLI is enabled, but i dont know about when gaming.
