Problems with PC Running slow after upgrade?

Hi,
I was hoping somebody may be able to help me with this problem...
I have recently upgraded my Graphics card to a Sapphire HD 2900 Pro and upped my RAM from 2GB to 4GB. I have also change from XP to XP64 Pro. Since I have made these changes my PC has been running slow and is very jerky and the screen keeps pausing. but the sound doesnt seem to be effected. Does anybody have an idea what may be causing this as it ran great before making these changes.
I have a MSI 975X platinum power up edition motherboard.

Thanks for the quick replys. All the correct up to date drivers are installed. I use my my pc for watching tv, internet and running 3D software, all of which are affected. Sound when watching tv or listening to cd does not seem to be affected. Im currently in the process of downloading 3D Mark 06 and will update when I have worked out how to use it.
