The fan on my BFG 8800GTS (which was worryingly loud even when I bought it) has been getting progressively louder, so I recently bought an Akasa Neo Vortexx to replace it - it was the only one I could find that was listed as being compatible with that card - however, after I'd removed the stock cooler, I discovered that the mounting holes on the Vortexx didn't line up with the ones on the card, so I ended up putting the stock cooler back on. Anyway, it looks like my only options are:
Find a cooler with the correct spacing on the mounting holes
or...leave the cooler in place and just replace the fan (don't know if you can buy this type of fans separately)
...Any suggestions?
