Problems with Shife and GRID

I am running Vista Ultimate 64 with a 4870 1GB abd both of these games will not rub properly on my system.

The both install fine and then run and I can select and change option when loaing the game but when i get into the actual game ie a race teack the secreen just flashes differenct colours and I can't see nothing.

The same happens for these games...

Anyone else had this issue or know what is going on here?

Sounds like a problem with your graphics card. Does it not happen with other graphically intensive games? Try Furmark to make sure your system is stable.

Used tyo work fine beofre I did change my motherboard could it be that I need to reinstall my OS?

Generally if you are going to change the motherboard in your system, it is a good idea to do a format and install windows from scratch as well. Sometimes you might be ok and others you may not. Seeing as when you changed it you started getting problems, that would be the first thing I would do.

If you really do not want to start from scratch, a quick thing you could try is to try a different version of the graphics drivers you are using. This does not necessarily mean the latest. Try searching around and try some older versions and see if you have any luck.

I've had this on shift a bit, only happens very occasionally but when I go off the track the screen turns to black and purple walls until i manage to get back on the track. Annoying as hell when 2mm of the left rear goes over a curb and BAM can't see anything. Makes me panic a bit but it's just another incentive to not go off

Which card are you using and did you manage to resolve the issue or find out what is causing it?

I have not played many games since I got the new board so I am guessing I will have to reinstall my OS I thought I might hold on and get Windows 7 and do it all at once
