Ok so the last few weeks I have been playing Call of duty 4 without a problem with 1 x GeForce 9800 GTX KO. whilst I have been waiting for my other graphics card to be returned from Overclockers.
Today I got my other card back (same make and model etc).. I installed it in, and (thank god!) the graphics work, and I have set up the system to work in SLI mode for graphics.
Heres the downfall:
I tried loading Call of duty 4, and when I did this, it loaded the game ,but I see nothing more than "Black". If I move mouse around, i can hear it going over the buttons etc but just cannot see anything. Also tried loading AudoSurf and that does not want to place nice either.
What is causing this? I figure that the error is probably either graphics drivers (because both cards installed at different times), or I have to re-install the games to make it compatible with the new hardware confiruation, but which (or what is it if none of these?)
Also when I look in COD4 settings, it says "dual video cards"... Do I set this to "YES" now that I am running in SLI?
