problems with Steelsound 5H V2 mic

I recently bought this headset, and so far i think its crap.

anyways, my mic has problems, if I talk on vent or ingame, people can only hear my voice very softly, even though my outbound is on max.

Any ideas? it worked fine with my old headset, but now its crap. Are there settings I need to change? all volume in my sound options are on max.

I hope anyone can help, playing css wars is hard when I cant tell my team where the enemy is

My mate who from my old Css clan had the same problem. We'd be on vent and when he would speak he'd be really quiet and a high pitched beeping noise would come on. Reading around t'internet its something to do with the USB Souncard you get with it. If you have a seperate sound card or one built into your motherboard, try plugging the jack plugs into there, see if it makes any difference. If not, sorry.
