Problems with the Samsung S27A750D

Due to the lack of availability, I took the risk of purchasing a used Samsung S27A750D. However, I'm having a problem with it, and I'm not sure if the problem is normal.

Out of the box, the monitor has a whitish/greyish hue over the bottom half of the monitor. It clears up at the top. Out of the box, the picture looks terrible.

The hue on the bottom seems to clear up once I turn on Magic Angle. Side view seems to be the best option for Magic Angle. Also, I don't notice much of any light bleed, using a light bleed test, once I turn on Magic Angle.

I just want to know if I should expect strange color distribution like this from a monitor, so that when I get a new one I can know what's actually normal?

Should I be looking for a good picture without magic angle, and then an even better picture with magic angle?

I've already RMA'd it btw.

You purchased it when it was brand new on release a month ago. Prices will drop on anything that is brand new. That is pretty much how technology and electronics is. Don't blame us, besides if your monitor is faulty Samsung will replace it. Moaning on our forums pretty much everywhere will not fix it any quicker.

The picture is a bit rubbish out of the box, i use pcm2's settings that can be found on his review at pcmonitors.org. Works well for me

Hi apoligies but i am only warning on the threads that mention this monitor, because it is a common issue!
Even Pmc2 or whatever his nick is has had this, so just trying to give people advice, it does happen with Dell monitors as well. But i won't mention it again, its just i see people put negs and positives about other hardware and theres no problem. Its a common Issue that many people have and some have been through 3 monitors.
I'm not trying to start trouble.
Thanks
Guy

Samsung are aware of the issue, however the monitor is covered with warranty so if you have the issue Samsung will sort it for you. :)
