Problems with Toca 3

Hey all,

Anyone had any problems with Toca 3?

Basically, I load the game up, the create profile screen appears and 2-3 seconds after this I get an irritating continually looped sound. This gets louder/more irritating as I progress, until I eventually I get into the first race.

The entire game then crashes before the car reaches the first corner.

Any ideas? XP SP2, Radeon X850 XT PE, AMD64 3400+, 2Gb Ram etc etc, should be fine on this machine?

It would appear the sound I am hearing is basically the little clicks etc you get when you move between menu's. Every time it plays a new one, it'll then continuously loop it, adding to whatever else is being continously looping until eventually I have a complete row of looping menu sounds in my headphones.

Just trying to run the Sound setup now but it appears to be stuck on 'Auditioning Sound'.

FWIW, Toca Race Driver 2, and all my other games come to think of it, work perfectly.

Thats odd fox, my recently replaced machine did exactly that with TOCA RD2. Im literally about to pop out and get RD3 today, will let you know if it does it now ive got a new PC.

What sound card are you running?

It's a warez copy, get him!

No it isn't, it's a full UK retail DVD.

I managed to fix it in the end - downloaded the latest Audigy drivers from the Creative website :)

Good game but very buggy by the looks of the Codemasters forum
