Problems with Virgin Media and MSN

Friend of mine has a new Virgin Media cable connection and a Belkin wireless router. She's connected to it wirelessly from her laptop (signal strength is excellent).

She can surf the web fine but MSN keeps disconnecting, saying messages can't be delivered etc. Anyone any suggestions or ideas?

It is an MSN problem then, nothing to do with connection.

Mine is fine so I doubt it, but thanks for the suggestion.

It turns out they didn't have any security set up on their wireless connection. After setting up a WEP key tonight things seem far more stable.
