hey guys

just built a new rig and i brought a copy of vista 64bit home premium to go with it.

ive tried installing every version of msn from 7 onwards and all of them come back with a error basically saying its not compatitble with x64 architecture.

ive read msn isnt compatible with x64 systems, but how is everyone else getting theirs to work?

thanks

ive already tried that :(

tried versions 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.1, 8.5 and all come back with the same error. Even AVG is coming up with it!

going to try and re-install msn again.

if the error message you get is this one Error: 81000306....then it is the same problem i have had...the fix is this
4. If you are using Windows Vista, disable the Auto Tuning Networking feature:
4.a. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.
4.b. Click Continue when Windows requests permission to continue.
4.c. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
Note: This command disables the Window Auto Tuning feature.
4.d. After you disable the Auto Tuning Networking feature, verify if you are able to sign into Messenger.
