Nowim just going in bloody circles!!!
Please somebody help!

The download got paused at 95% but then i reset the net and it continued and finished.
Dont think this could have caused it do you?
I shall try burning at a slower speed yeh?

I'm not sure to be honest, afraid I'm not really an expert in this field ;)

Obviously the installation media is always the best thing to check first though, before delving deeper, so yea, I'd give it a go at burning it at a slower speed onto a new DVD, and if that doesn't work I'm afraid I'd have a go at re-downloading it!

damn it lol.
I had a perfectly fine disk at home ive used 2 times but i forgot to bring it here so had to download it and now i get problems :(
Knew i should have traveled home and got it.

It could have caused it, redownload the entire iso again and burn at the slowest speed. If it's still doing it remove all overclocks (if it is) and also try running it with just one stick of memory.

Possibly a dodgy ISO or badly burnt disc?

That's my guess.

Before you download it again, I would check if your ISO is actually corrupt. You can do this by using a program like this to check the MD5 checksum of the ISO you've downloaded. Just open it and point it to the ISO file.

If it's the 32-bit RC then the result should be this: 8867C13330F56A93944BCD46DCD73590

If it's the 64-bit RC then you should get this: 98341AF35655137966E382C4FEAA282D

If you get something different then your download is corrupted.

Btw whilst i have you wizzes here.
If i create a partion and install it on the partition and then put all programs and files on another partition can i change/modify OS's without wiping all info from the HDD?
(just burning disk, the sums came back same as what you have Mattus, thanks for the program link :D)

I'm not sure how that would affect your programs, particularly if you changed OSs, but if you just create a seperate partition for your files that wouldn't be an issue at all.

I tend to have one partition for my programs, and one where I keep media, documents, downloads and where I tend to back-up any saved games.

Yep. That's what I have - a 40GB partition for the OS and a 600GB partition for all my data. Makes it so much easier to reinstall the OS - should keep the OS running faster too :D You will have to reinstall some programs if you change the OS, but partitioning means that you don't have to faff about trying to reinstall Windows without deleting your data.

You could alway try mounting the DVD ISO via a working OS and Virtual clone drive. You can do the full install as it copies all the files it needs off the dvd before rebooting back into setup. The disk is never referenced again and this may save you time redownloading the iso due to a dodgy burn. This method allows dual boot.

oooo'key.
Just re burned the iso nice n slow.
Put it in. I sat on the lovly windows 7 blue sky esque background for a bit and treated me to this:

Ive re started and im waiting on the blue sky type background again.

That BSOD is unlikely, I believe, to be anything to do with your disc; if I were you I'd ignore it for now, get Windows installed, then give memtest a run.

Ok...so we are back at the begining.
You've failed me yet again, windows!
This time i have a different fail message, it says this now:

In the bios it has detected all of the ram fine aswell. I cant see any obvious problem in the bios.
