Problems with windows 7 installation.

If it wasn't for your previous results with the other memory i would have said rma the board (and get your p&p paid back) - but it may be wise to return the board via the long distance selling act as the results you have got are a little ambiguous. (although an explanatioin to OC's may get your postage paid if they find it to be faulty.)

Having said that it looks like slot 2 is f'ed.

Get a gigabyte or an Asus - don't replace for another Foxconn.

Don't worry, not going for one of these again, I've never had a problem with gigabite, always had em, just thought I'd try sumet new, never again lol.
Gonna have to buy some more thermal paste for the cooler now though since I have to take it off :-(
(Maybe ocuk will be nice and give me a cheap tube ;) )

You were on a tight budget and had it not been faulty - it made sense.

I've only ever used Asus and recently Gigabyte as they have a base in the UK. They're both great brands and will give you many more BIOS options, even in their budget optons, compared to that Foxconn.

Let me know how your get on - and good luck. (And get that customised rig finished - i want to see the results!)

Seems like that Foxconn board really is trash. Difficult to see how it could be compatibility issues when you've tried OCZ and Corsair RAM.

Agreed with Plec - Gigabyte and Asus boards are both very good.
