I wasn't sure which forum to stick this into.
I've got an XBOX One controller which I've started having problems with. It is the one that Microsoft sold in a pack with a usb cable as "Controller + Cable for Windows"
It has been working fine up until recently. A little while back it stopped working intermittently. It would be fixed by unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back in. It has now stopped working altogether.
Windows can recognise the controller. It shows up in device manager. I was even able to install the XBOX accessories app and update the firmware. The only problem is that it has stopped working in games.
I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps on the MS website. It says I need to get the controller replaced. I've spent an hour on live chat and the phone with Microsoft without any luck. The upshot is they are refusing to help me because I don't own an XBOX.
Anyone able to help me either to get this working in Windows (if it is a software problem) or get hold of someone at MS who can help?
