Hi all,

I'm experiencing problems with folding on my GTX460 using GPU tracker :( I'm getting the following error (i can post the whole log if needed?) -

GPU 0 failed to complete a project 6800 WU (UNSTABLE_MACHINE)

As you may have seen, i recently swapped cards between machines, but i'm not sure if that is a red herring? I've never had a problem with the card before and it had been crunching fine since being swapped last week? Then today it starts throwing up this error?

In an effort to resolve this i have updated the nvidia drivers, reinstalled gpu tracker, deleted all work and re-downloaded, and turned it off and on again!!

I'm wondering if there is something lurking in the registry that is referring to the old card which is throwing the client off?

Additionally, it keeps downloading project 6800 wu's, not sure if the fault lies here?

Anywho, if anyone has any pointers they will be most welcomed!

Thanks

Hmm, i thought it might be drivers, hence me updating to the latest - to no avail.

Yeah i did swap the card to from another rig, but from what i can tell the mb and psu are man enough, and it was crunching ok for a week. It's not oc'd either, so i'm starting to think the card itself might have issues?

I'll have a play with it tomorrow, i need to get it working again to try and slow your advance, i can hear yours and Delboy's stomping boots getting too close for comfort!

Well, after much head scratching, swapping this, swapping that, and lots of swearing, i gave up and went away for a few days with the missus knowing i was at least 10k ppd down :(

However.... i have returned today to find that my 460 is merrily crunching again?! I can only assume is was a bad (batch?) WU? Very odd indeed!

Unfortunately it was never going to stop Delboy whizzing past and loudbob is breathing hot and heavy down the nape of my neck, tread softly grasshopper! :)
