Hi,
Basically I am changing my motherboard+CPU+RAM so I need to do a clean install of Windows. I currently have Windows Vista HP 32-bit installed on my HDD along with all my files.

I now have a Windows 7 64-bit DVD that I would like to install over my current edition of windows, but on a partition. So how do I do a clean install of Windows into a new partition?

Cheers!

Just boot up from teh windows dvd, run install as normal. But where you select the partition, delete the partition first, then create two new ones, then select the partition you want to install Windows on.

This will delete all data on the HDD, so if you want to save anything, make backups on a usb pen or something.
