Hi all,
I'm currently on Talk Talk LLU.
I'm happy enough with the service, not really had any major downtime and I get good connection speeds.
Sky came to our exchange a month or so ago and as we already get Sky television I believe we can get a good deal on LLU broadband (as well as getting access to Anytime Plus).

In the past I've only ever moved from one BT reselling ISP to another.
Simple request of MAC code from old ISP and give it to the new one. As one service started the other one stopped and there was at most a couple of hours of downtime.

What is the process if I wish to move from one LLU to another - so from Talk Talk LLU to Sky LLU?
I'm assuming there is some kind of code involved - is it still a MAC code I need to request from Talk Talk?
When I order Sky I'm assuming I give them the code. However as this is LLU to LLU moving, is there likely to be any kind of "downtime" while the move happens?
As my actual phone line will also be moved from Talk Talk to Sky is there a possibility of loss of phone services for a while too?

Thanks for your help.

Who is your line rental with? As of the 1st of september you now need to take line rental to get sky broadband. This delays the process as depending on your area and equipment at the exchange your rental and bb could go live on the same date, or the other way of line rental first and 7-10 days extra for bb.

The first is around 14 days from order, the second can take a lot longer.

If you use your internet for work i would get a 3g dongle in-between your transistion peroid just
Incase there is any hiccups.

Sky provide a good service when all goes well, and you can expect the same speed without the limit on use and traffic throttling.

What speed do you currently get with talk talk? As they recommend 2mb+ for anytime plus and sky go.

I'm currently getting 14mb/1mb via Talk Talk.
I believe my phone is with Talk Talk as well - so I guess that is going to add an extra element in.

Do I still just get a MAC code from Talk Talk and give that to Sky at time of ordering?
