Well i've only had my dslr 2 and a bit months so by 'old' i mean beginning of march :p just going back through some of my first shots, didn't really have much of a clue in photoshop (not that i do now!) but processed a couple now i can better achieve what i want.

HDR shot but i tried to keep the tones more natural so it's not so blindly obvious it's HDR. Wasn't entirely sure on the horizon level either as it's sloping in from the left and the right, the clouds look wonky but then the figure walking is straight. Do you think it should be rotated a touch clockwise?

C&C welcome as always

no.1.
i like it, it is subtle that it's HDR as you say, The horizon i would rotate coz the clouds look strange IMO.

no.2.
I like this too, but i'd be tempted to crop the top off as it distracts a nice shot, also it's a shame that the car is parked there.
