Cheers - so there isnt much better than I can do than my current 940 then. Do you think its worth keeping my current processor in my rig (7800gtx, 2gb DDR2) and upgrading to a DX10 card later this year, or would my current mobo/processor be a bottleneck? Is it relatively easy to change mobo on a Dell machine?

By today's standards a 940 is a little bit on the slow side. However, with DX10 and Vista round the corner it may not be so bad. As far as I'm aware, DX10 is meant to reduce CPU intervention so your CPU will become less of a problem. For DX10 ready games, I mean.

I'll see if I can dig out the article.

Changing the mainboard on a Dell (I presume you have a 9100/9150?) isn't that easy. There have been a few dells using Micro ATX boards, but the current ones appear to use a Sudo BTX layout. I don't think you'd stand a chance swapping out the mainboard with a 3rd party one. That being said, you can grab a new case relatively cheap.
