ok i cant overclock my current system and was looking at this

*OVERCLOCKED* AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 2.8GHz @ 3.5GHz does this mean that ocuk as allready overclocked the processor and its just ready to be put in a case?

Yes, it is pre-overclocked.

Why can't you overclock what you have? You should be able to hit at least 4Ghz with that set-up. It's ridiculous spending nearly £400 when you have a perfectly good rig already.

Exactly, his current rig is better. You really should be hitting 4Ghz with an E8500.

Ive been reading up on overclocking and watching videos on youtube i just cant seem to get my head around it at the minute and thought this would be a easy way to get a faster set up.

Overclocking what you already have should be a doddle. What's hard and time consuming about changing a few settings in your BIOS and leaving in on for a few hours to stress test the overclock?

It will also help you understand what's involved. Clocking a E8500 is simple.

ok think i will give it a go i will try for a small overclock.
