Right, upgrading from an SN25P and moving accross to a C2D based uATX solution.
So far I'm looking at

Silverstone TJ08B uATX tower

520W Corsair HX PSU

Asus P5k-VM iG33

I already have 2GB ballistix 6400, hard drive, DVD drive graphics card etc.

In term of processor, I'm building up the machine anticipating a 45nm Penryn processor, so for now what CPU do you guys recomend going for to keep me going (thking along E6320 or even a 2140/2160)? Consider I'm moving from an opteron 165, hopefully see an improvement what ever!

I intend to overclock, hense selection of motherboard and memory, so what do you guys recomend to me?

Cheers for the advise

I've seen a few people using an E2140 as a stop-gap, and getting good clocks from them too.

I'd go for the E2140 really, at 50 quid you can't go wrong in my opinion.

My E2140 £54 delivered - does 3.2GHz at 1.375. It could go further but 100% overclock is more than sufficient for my needs. These are awesome chips.

I've been using a 2160 @ 3.6ghz in anticipation for the 170 quid quads :D

Fine chips for the money regardless of the lower cache.
