Processor upgrade bottle neck

Hi. I’ve just upgraded my GFX to a RTX3060TI. My processor seems to be running more than the GFX. So im needing to
Upgrade my processor. Any ideas which would be best with my GFX? Specs below
CPU: A406 - Intel Core i7 4790
Motherboard: 4247 - Asus Z97-P
RAM: C212 - 16GB Corsair 2400mhz Vengeance Pro (2x8GB
PSU: K607 - 750W FSP
Monitors: M210 - Asus 24" VG248QE 144Hz Gaming LED

I will be upgrading my monitor to a 27” 1440p. Will that improve the bottleneck?

The monitor arrives tomorrow so i will test it. I don’t really want to change mobo if possible. I will change processor if needed. But which one would fit my current motherboard?

Excellent thanks all, now I have the monitor set up and running at 1440p all games are running smooth as can be as its now using more of the GFX. Mobo/processor now not as urgent, but could look to upgrade in the future. thanks again
