Processor Upgrade?

Hi folks,

Seeing that theres a 'this week only' on A64 processors i was thinking would it be worth it upgrading from an A64 3200+ to a 3700+ or even a 3800+?

Now ive read that the 3700+ has an increased L2 cache of 1Mb whereas the 3800+ has only 512k L2 cache but an increase in speed of 200Mhz?

Firstly would it be worth while upgrading,

secondly to which processor and why?

and thirdly im assuming all i would need to do is remove my old processor and replace with a the new one on my motherboard (which is a Asus A8V deluxe)?

Help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

the 3700+ would be a good improvement over your 3200+.

What do you use the PC for?

Id probably recommend you to get an X2 939 cpu, as they have come crashing down in price and will last you longer being dual core.
 
Thanks Dave, i use my pc for gaming, music and DVD's mostly!!

Just ordered the 3700+, thanks again for your help.
