Hi all,

I have a acer aspire 6935g laptop with a intel core 2 duo processor p7350 (2ghz, 1066 Mhz FSB, 3 mb L2 cache.

After a quick search ive found that this processor fits these two sockets BGA479, PGA478 but i dont know which my motherboard has.

Just wondering if anyone knows what processor i can fit into this laptop or how to go about finding which socket i have?

Cheers

Your best bet is to download and run CPU-Z and post up a screenshot of the "motherboard" tab.

I will have a look what the best CPU upgrade available to you is.

May I ask, what do you mainly use the laptop for and what OS is it running?

Edit: after a quick hunt around, it seems like people have got T9550, T9600 and T9800 chips to work with the most recent BIOS - I believe even the T9900 will work. However, according to this you will need to use good thermal paste and underclock it a bit - as you would be replacing a 25W TDP CPU with a 35W one. Quad cores are off the cards as they are rated at 44-45W TDP, no idea if the BIOS will accept them.

heres the screenshot.

ive recently updated my bios aswell and my OS is Vista 32 bit and i use it for mid range gaming :)

Means the PCI-E is running at the lowest speed, but that could be normal for a normal laptop?
