only reason wanted an upgrade was cause cant find any help overclocking so wanted something that was faster at stock

Sadly no. I have the M4A88T-EVO so was in the same boat as you. If memory serves you needed the 900 series chipset to support the newer CPUs so I relegated that mobo setup to HTPC use.
I think Stulid has hit the nail on the head a GPU upgrade would make sense to get DX11 support. A 7870LE would be a good choice as they OC to match a 7950
Read HERE for some info on overclocking the Phenoms. The 1055T isn't a black edition so the multiplier is locked making things trickier.
