is the venting on the white version different at the front or did i read wrong?

I like that PS07, though i would pick the TJ08-e myself, though for Mini ITX the prodigy is great.

PS07 you can fit liquid cooling in the front, and i like that it uses 120 fans gives more choice

yeh not saying the prodigy is bad, some the builds with it look great, silverstone is smaller and neater, personal pref i guess^^

Hi.

Thanks for the links. Personally I prefer the prodigy (over the other mini itx case), though that's mainly an aesthetic thing. Also I my second choice would be a black lian li.

I've two choices in mind.

Also the Shinobi could have a greater value for money than the Prodigy if I go without SLI (cheaper mobo and PSU)...

The question is which system is best value for money considering I'll need to use it for maybe 5 years or more without significant upgrade?

Also would the 2nd gen i7 be a noticeable step down from the ivy bridge for rendering?

thoughts appreciated.

Thanks. I'll do that later if I opt for the mid tower since I'm already a bit over budget... that's another disadvantage the prodigy, however.

Is there a particular forum that specialises in render pc hardware? I think most people here seem to be expert on games but not rendering (most forums I use day to day are more concerned with software like vray, which takes quite a bit of expertise by itself, but not so much hardware). I'm just concerned with getting the most out of my build.

Gonna buy tomorrow. Going for the Prodigy, taken out the DVD drive (I'll use the USB trick) etc to save a little cash & clutter. Also swapped out the Samsung SSD for the one dacads recommended - thanks buddy!;) - (its got a ton of good reviews and seems faster(?)
Also the monitor, hopefully a good choice (especially with the BTS discount).

If the builds a success I'll post a few pics here. I may get the side panel laser cut n windowed cos I can do it for free woot!

But what about the performance/life of other components (voltage regulator quality, bus speeds etc...)

Is it worth spending a bit more on the motherboard to get better quality, is the difference only noticeable when overclocking, for example? (I may do that in the future when I learn a little more about it).

thanks for your advice!

I'm missing components... Not sure what cable I need to buy to connect the cooler, two stock case fans and one additional 120mm led fan, the mother board has one slot for CPU fan and one for Case. What am I missing? :(
