I am everywhere...
85% fat free = Still contains 15% fat.
No added sugar = Contains sugar already (dosent mean no sugar was added)
Unlimited use = No not really, fair use policy.
Those are the ones i can remember for now, please feel free to add what you think it is a product mislabelling and setting the record straight. Thanks.

PS
Why do manufactures get away with stuff like this anyway?

EDIT
Eat-as-much-as-you-like = No, and this is something i have withnessed several times i.e Pizza hut.

Yep. No lies there.

Fair enough.

Is the use I get with my product unlimited? Cool.

Because they're not lying?

It is that it comes across, you think you are getting something healthy but them....

So you're complaining about marketing tactics? The other ones I can see your point, but not the 85% fat free one.

That's what I was thinking, people bend the truth with everything in a way to bias their product, story or anything - it's the way that our intelligence is built as humas in a capitalist society.

That is all.

Imagine if it was labelled "Contains 15% fat", what will that do to the sales? :)

So do you have the same problem with 20% off sales as you still have to pay 80%?

I see your logic, i guess we have to disagree to agree or something like that. :p

I think those who count the calories they eat will prefer the "contains 15%fat" label

Marketers will always try and pull the wool over your eyes, dude. It's a fact of life. You just need to engage your brain and think. It's not like it's only some - it's all of them. Advertisers and marketers are EVIL PEOPLE.

Think for yourself, comrade!

Simple, don't eat the 15% at the bottom of the packet, duh! :p

Nah, if you are into counting calories rite, just eat dust (like that character from fat fighters in little britain).

No added sugar means just that. No sugar has been added.

85% fat free means it is 85% fat free.

Sometimes you see adverts that say "SALE - 30% OFF!" Just because the item was 50% overpriced in the first place does not therefore make the sale sign a lie.

We got threatened with Watchdog and all that jazz because we said we had "Holidays from £99". The problem was, we DID have holidays from £99, just not the particular one the customer wanted.

Sorry but there is nothing wrong with the statements you've given.

"New and improved flavour"

NO! rubbish, this always means that your favourite snack now tastes like total arse :(

How can something be new AND improved?

If it was new, then there was nothing before it, but if its improved, then there WAS something before it, therefore it cant be new

Babble babble :D

Basic......Maths......Failing......Me.......

Yes it still contains 15% fat. Is that good or bad? If you ask someone what an average amount of fat is in food, I doubt they would be able to tell you.

As someone has already said, it just means you have to engage brain. The problem comes when people don't, and assume whatever was the first thing that popped into their head is what they have been told.
