Product update notes don't show up in Steam

They do download but when I click on the Product Updates tab so see what the release notes are, it's empty as if there's been no updates for that game ever. Anyone else had this problem?

Its probably updates for Linux and Big Picture.

I'm pretty certain that it is up to the developer to post the patch notes on steam, and there are just lots of them who don't bother.

Yeah i always notice this, sometimes it can be a sizeable download yet when you look to see what it's about there is nothing.

That's disappointing. Perhaps I'm used to Valve and the updates for their games.
