Just bought this for the missus on import. Should be here soon, but looks real good. Just wondering if anyone else has it and what their thoughts are on it?

Looks like a good mix of puzzles and adventure mixed into one. Grpahics look ace for a DS game and I think even I might enjoy it, well, IF I can get the DS off the missus.

You know, she only bought it for the "Brain Training" - but bought New Mario at the same time. Oh and like the softy I am, bought her Nintendogs, because for months she wanted a DS just for that.

Women! She costs me a bleedin fortune!

Phoenix would you mind getting some feedback from her when she's played it? Looking to buy my missus the same thing but unsure if it's any good or not. Is it only available import as I can't sem to find it anywhere? Was hoping for a PAL copy so if it ever needs to be part ex'd in a shop they'll take it.

Got a DS a few months ago for the second time around and this has got to be one of the best games i have played for it, the puzzles are excellent and the story line to it keeps you playing it...took me over 11 hours gameplay to complete it, highly recommended.

Sure - It's been shipped, so should be here tomrorow hopefully. I did wonder about being able to PX it, but it's only £21 delivered! Check out Gamespot, they have a review/screens/vids etc. They also say that there will be weekly puzzle downloads available so even when you finish the story mode you can get something from it.

Hi folks!

Been a while, but thought I should post back here again.

Prof Layton is superb! It's not quite a point n click adventure (it's a bit more simple than that (apart from the puzzles)), but it does have a great story, great graphics and excellent puzzles! I haven't finished it yet, but my missus did tonight and it left her feeling sad that there wasn't any more to do. I'm an old time gamer and know that feeling, when a game is just so great you actually feel sad it's over. My missus doesn't do games, generally, but she loved this.

It really is good! There's also weekly downloadable puzzles, so it might not have much replay value, but there is more to do. Also, you don't find every puzzle in the game, so you can go back and get them. There's also a few challenges, which require you finding parts of a painting, items for a hotel room and building a gadget. If you just do the story, you won't get all these bits and there's going to be things left over to do. There's profiles of characters, so meeting them all is good and a few extras.

As for puzzles, wow, what a variety! There's some real brain teasers in there. Some are easy, some are hard and when you finally complete them, there's a real sense of achievement.

****SPOILER*****
Oh....and there's a sequal coming, it says so when you finish! There's also a section to be unlocked when you buy the next episode, you need a code from it to unlock it in this version.

If you like puzzles, brain training etc, get this!!!! I paid £21 delivered and it's the best/most played DS game we've got!

Took my missus about 16 hours to finish in total, over a couple weeks. There's still more to do, so I guess about 20 hours in total for 100%.

So there you have it! Really, really good! Get it folks!
