Program failing to run

I downloaded the free copy of bryce that was available at daz but can't seem to get it to run.

After installing and trying to start, windows throws an error 'side by side is incorrect' or somesuch.

Is this a problem with trying to run a 32bit version on a 64bit machine or is it something else, and does anyone know how to solve this problem?

After further research

This thread mentions the same problem but I don't understand the fix or how to apply it, anyone understand what it is I need to do here.

Seems like you just have to install the update to the C++ library if you follow the links in that thread and download and install the appropriate file for your hardware it should rectify the problem.
