Program for checking format of a movie file

I've uploaded an 80 meg file to You Tube and so far it has been converting for over 18 hours.
I can't seem to find the DEFINITIVE standard on Google that You Tube converts to (they're all different) so my idea was to grab a FLV file and then see how it's made up.
I need a program that can show me the size, bitrates etc of the FLV.
Hopefully if I convert it and upload it, it won't have to convert on You Tube or am I talking *******?.

Well, given the fact you've taken over 18 hours to convert a video you probably need all the help you can get.

My problem was a 22 minute video and it was finally rejected for being too long.
How do others get 2 hour videos on there?

ive never seen a video 2 hours long.

longest ive seen is 9/10 mins.

Well you need to talk to Google to get a video over 10 minutes published. Also Google will convert the uploaded video regardless as they produce several formats. They also check the video content to try and detect adulat material so you can't avoid the processing.

The standard YouTube user me/you are only allowed a 10 min clip but YouTubes partners are allowed longer clips.

You need 10,000s of views to become a partner etc

Thanks for the advise.

I did it in the end even though I've put a few of my bands videos on there before.
Here they are but you will probably find them very boring.
For those who remain with it for more than 5 seconds all the people in those photos were part of my extended family, I knew most of them and will miss them dearly.
