Program on SSD, HDD spinning up :S

Random question / problem....

Sometimes when I open a program which is installed on my SSD it hangs, I hear one of my hard drives spin up, wait a few seconds then it instantly opens.

I have no idea why it's doing this as the program is installed on the SSD, it shouldn't affect the hard drive at all. :confused:

My OS is also stored on the SSD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

The only reason I can think of is if you have your Windows Swap File located on the HDD?

Mine does that occasionally, Steam seems to do it more than others.

I see this quite often too. I put it down to DRM/anti-cheat software as Steam, WoW, etc. wake up my HDD even though they're not installed there.
