Program to capture windows audio stream?

Is there any sort of program that I could use to capture the audio stream from a program running in windows and output it to wav?

Im doing a 2d gaming assignment and Im trying to get the music from an old msx game called kings valley, but i coudlnt find it anywhere on the net and i havent been able to find anything yet that would let me do this.

I already tried putting the audio out into mic in and using fraps. Fraps wouldnt even start.

Thanks, downloading it now, do you know offhand if it can capture the general audio stream out or even better from specific applications?

Well Ive only had a quick look but it just seems to be a general audio editor, Unless there is some sort of plugin to capture the audio out stream>?

None of them seem to be able to capture the active audio out stream, oh well, ill just keep looking around.

No. Fraps wouldnt work. I dont know why.
