Hi guys

Using the latest Nvidia drivers & Windows 7 x64. Is there a utility out there that can control the fan speed?
My card never runs in 2D mode much to my annoyance, and the fan makes a racket compared to the rest of the PC which is almost silent.

Any ideas peeps?

Cheers

I tried that EVGA program already, it lets me adjust the clock speeds, but curiously not the fan speed. If I take it off auto fan control and set 25% it just moves straight back up to 35% ... :(

I had the same problem, the gts250 I dropped into my mums PC really sounded like a train and after using riva tuner to turn down the fan speed it went back up and carried on sounding incredibly noisy.

I took it back to the local store I got it from (the whole base unit) and we ran it next to an identicle card, one was quiet, mine was noisy, uninstalled drivers and various tools and nothing, stil noisy. Then we swapped cards, my card in the other PC was quiet, the quiet card on my PC was noisy.

Something in my PC was causing all the noise, what? I dont have a clue wether it was the case or software conflicts has me beat. We swapped the card for an "older" model, the more expensive version before it became a "cheap" card with built in covered heat sinks and fans and everything was fine and quiet.
