Program to convert to .eps?

Hi,

Am considering a final report for uni in LaTeX (done a little bit before) and one of my worries is inserting images into my report.

I'm after a program that will convert .jpg, .gif, .bmp etc to .eps and preferably for free

Any recommendations?
