program to edit pdf files

could someone reccommend a program to edit the text in an existing .pdf file ?

I have tried easypdf from Visage (free download) but it doesn't work with the file I want to edit
any suggestions ?

Should be able to get a free trial of Nitro PDF which is excellent for this sort of thing. Or you can use this site, however it will only convert the PDF to Word so you can edit it. http://www.pdftoword.com/
