Program to kill non responding tasks?

Is there any program that will automatically kill processes that stop responding? Some time windows media player just jams for no reason and then the whole computer just stops. I know that's just because wmp is a pos and is why I use mpc when I can. But it would be usefull to kill other programs that may jam as well.

Its the process's that you need to kill, get something like pskill, google that.

sometimes windows media player can memory leak and fill up your ram thus crashing your system....

Use a different media player such as Winamp or Foobar2000.

If the whole machine has locked, how on earth do you think another program will be able to run to end the locked process?

use winamp or foobar for music, and media player classic for everything else
