program to move installed apps from A to B

A mate has asked me this...

He has some apps installed on his D: Partition and wants to have them instead, installed on E:

I told him to simply re-install them on E: but he has tried this and his old data just will not transfer and he has to start over... The only way he thinks is to use some kind of program.

Ok, fine... I have had a look, but not found anything I can think of that will help him.

Anyone know of a good app that will do this for him?

I'm guessing Windows is installed on C:, right? Problem is all programs even games have some files/registry entry/etc in same place Windows is installed. So only way he can move is to uninstall & re-install the programs in the new location. If they all resided in the same partition, a simple clone would have sufficed
