Program to print photographs

In the past I used to have an MX850 Canon which had its own application which I could print some borderless photos on 4 x 6 photo paper.

I recently bought an HP officejet 6500A and would like to print a few photographs, but I dont think any of the software allows me to do so easily. And I have not used anything other than the packaged software that came with my previous MX850 Canon.

Can anyone make any recommendations as to any software which is freely available or on trial which allows me to do this?

Windows Print utility. Right click an image and choose print ?

best one I've come across is HP Photosmart essentials. Very easy to use.
