A few years ago, when I was more involved in such things, I used to use some piece of software to "stress" the CPU when I was trying to see how far I could push systems I was building. As well as loading the CPU, it continuously performed calculations and checked the results, thereby indicating if there was a problem at a particular bus frequency. I run Everest Ultimate Ed'n v4 to keep an eye on temperatures.
I can't remember what it was called (? Orthos ?) and there is probably something better about nowadays; can anyone please offer any suitable suggestions?
I am currently running Memtest86+ v2.11 to test the RAM.
