Does any manufacture make such a thing?

I do mucky work and modern washing machines simply do not use enough water or enough wash cycle to get my work clothes clean.

I have to resort to pouring more water into the detergent draw during the fill phase and even restarting the wash cycle to get my stuff clean.

I would have thought that in the 21st C one could be in a position where one might be able to tell domestic appliances to do, you know, what one wants them to do!

Does anybody do this?

You get a "pre-wash" or "pre-rinse" setting for this - you dont need to program it yourself.

Our new Samsung machine has the usual pre wash to get the worst out, then an intensive setting that ups the ante compared to a usual wash (more agitation and longer cycle times I think) plus I can add extra rinse cycles (up to 5 in total)

Not quite what you asked for but it does a cracking job of my work clothes.

I believe that some machines do have an app which can be used to download extra programmes. Maybe that's more the kind of thing you're looking for.

When you say "modern washing machines simply do not use enough water" how many have you actually tried? If you basing this on a £200 beko for example, this might be your problem? Whilst washers have gone super economical they make up for it with long wash times letting clothes soak in the water / detergant. I've thrown some right dirty stuff in my generic john lewis washer and never had anything that hasn't come out on a standard eco 40 wash let alone having to use the "pre-rinse" or "extra-rinse" options that would extend it accordingly.

I suppose the first question should be, regardless of your washing machine, are you actually using it's intensive / pre-rinse cycle options? On mine I could go for an eco 40 with pre-rinse / extra rinse added, have to put laundry liqued in two compartments, as well as the fabric softener, then I'd probably be waiting the best part of five hours. If that doesn't get things clean, I'd suggest you need to use a 60 degree wash or bioligical powder if you aren't already! Perhaps even both combined.
