Programmable electronic kit?

Not sure this is the right forum but I'm after some electronic kit or robot kits, anything that can be plugged into a serial port of my PC and programmed. I've seen plenty that you can control through a raspberry pi but I need something I can code through vis studio, c# or vb. Net

Anyone know of something suitable

Just got one myself, they are not the fastest in the world but might be what you are looking for.

cheers, that looks like it could fit the bill. There seem to be control libraries for vis studio and the price isnt too bad.
