I'm after software which will allow me to take programs from the TV to burn to a dvd which will work in a portable dvd player.
Essentially the problem I have is my grandmother is in hospital for the next few months and I've been trying to bring her some recent tv to play on the portable DVD player I borrowed for her.
However as you can imagine, finding places to download strictly, countryfile, bargain hunt and the like are essentially nonexistent outside of iplayer (which is obviously DRM protected).
If I could remove the DRM it would be great but I can't figure it out, none of the software options, even paid, seem to work, it's not like I'm stealing the tv I could record anyway, I just want to put it on a format I can bring to my nan.
I did try recording on to discs using a DVD recorder but that doesn't work on the player.
What I'm wondering is if anyone knows of software that could do this kind of thing, perhaps recording from one of those catchup tv service type things or a (legal) circumvention of the DRM on iplayer downloads?
