This is my progress thread for the website i am making for a client on my work based project at college. I will no doubt need frequent help throughout the next 10 weeks so i decided to have 1 thread where i will ask my questions.

First of all, i have used xhtml and asp to design websites based on templates. Which language do you think i'm best using to create a bed and breakfast website that contains a content management system?

My friend says he can sort me a webserver for a year for £40 with 2gb, is this a good deal? He wanted to know which language i was going to use and i only know how to create a login system using ASP

Its FTP access 2gb disk space yearly £40 unlimited bandwidth. He says he can set it up on a windows server or anything else for me, this was for asp. Anything more you need? He also said domains were included
 
ok thanks for the advice, its not exactly a friend, its a referall from a friend and hes just being nice. My friend uses him and says uptime etc is fine. My client is a couple setting up a bed and breakfast. I am doing this for free and the college pays for the web hosting, atleast for the first year. Looks like asp it is
 
well i dont know what im asking for so it makes sense to go through a friend.
